On Sunday we left DC to drop Moonie Jr. off at college in Cleveland. I was really not expecting to say:

We are hurrying home tomorrow so we can check the house for any damage from the earthquake before the hurricane arrives this weekend.

On Friday I'm off to San Francisco for a tarot conference. I'm excited- I've wanted to go to this for years and this year I'm finally getting a chance!!!! Whoo-hoo!

Thank you! The lady at the hotel told me it will be chilly, so I will be prepared. For the record, in my world "chilly" is anything below about 70.

We finally made it home. This appears to be the total extent of damage to CasaDeMoonie.

I'm so sorry, Moonie. That's a terrible thing to have to come home to. Those people with the disrupted plastic lawn furniture should feel very fortunate.

(Wait a minute! I come home to that everyday! I've been thinking it was the cats, but now.......)

Bear, you always make me laugh.

I'm wondering if I'll go out Saturday evening. Conference ends, time for dinner, cocktail party until 7:30, then I'm on my own. SF has public transit, so no worries about parking or navigating. I do need to find out the limits on the transit, like what time the trains stop running.
