While we were boarding planes and suchlike I posited that planes should be designed like Starspeeders (or Small World boats etc) with doors to every row so that people exit and enter in approximately 10 seconds.

I think that's a great idea. They should also have escape pods (like 'Fifth Element') for each row of seats so people can be launched to safety (with a parachute) if a crash is imminent.

Humm. I think I like that idea. How many in your party? 5? Row 45. Please move all the way down the aisle. They could watch a safety video above the doors that show them the proper way to store their bags and buckle their seat-belts.
