Ya. And a few weeks. The biggest PITA is that the party is being held at his house (since it's the total party house). So we somehow have to get him out of his house so people can come over. It's a bbq or we'd temp him with steak

So... it's not every day that teen fashion goes beyond the realm of annoying into so damn creative that I have to laugh and give them props for originality, but today was one of those days. I saw one of those new punk-type kids (you know, with all the safety pins and torn band t-shirts), and he had, I kid you not, a mud flap. Or back end of a loincloth, if you prefer to think of it that way. worn over (or as a part of?) his 80's-tight jeans. Made from a torn band shirt. Covered with safety pins.

You know what, if kids wanna wear mud flaps, I say, more power to 'em, because that's just damn creative!

Ahhh the irony: guess it had been in the pipeline long before the job was eliminated, but I got an awesome review and raise. Too bad I have two months to find a new position.

And I've just really had it with the CSRs of the universe -- I've had to deal with WaMu (fraud), Cingular (fake account), Time-Warner Cable (service interrupted due to a credit owed ME), the DMV (plates wrongly reassigned), and many others in the past two months. I'm unfailingly nice, but they still send me to "hold-HELL." I want off the freakin' grid. Now. Land-lines, snail mail, paper entertainment, public transportation.
