You are very welcome.
Let me just say, if you arent breaking hearts as you walk through a room, be patient. Your time is coming.

Now... how do I convince my six year old that he can't have hair like that quite yet?
About 6pm last night:" Mommy, I decided I dont want a mohawk, I want my hair like the tall boy with the Jack shirt at the Tiki meet."

So.. I was stuck. I loved it, but it wasnt quite... first grade. But I also cant stop him later on.. I mean come on, mine was fushcia and I was a Madonna wanna be.

Wow, I think that was the biggest group I've been on an attraction with. 29 people gettin' leid in the Tiki Room, such fun!

Of course, Ponine came a little late, or she'd know full well who the tall young man with the awesome hair was, as did the rest of Adventureland and part of Main Steet as 20 of us, umm, subtly got is attention.

I was late, because we ran by y'all at 1:55 to go buy leis. We snuck by so as to not be seen un-leid.
The man in the Adventure land store was very sloooooow, which in turn made us late.
I am sorry I missed that! Did we have 29? Wow... cant wait to see everyone's pics. A bunch of mine are blurry.

Trip Report

The offspring and I entered Disneyland at 8:30 and ran to Buzz… riding in a 15 minute standby line. We then fast passed all things in our path to Splash, stopping only for the “way too scary time of year, Christmas is better” ride on Mansion. We rode pooh, then dilly dallied our way back to Tomorrowland to talk to Stitch. What a riot that was.
The offspring had told the CM at guest relations it was my birthday, so I had to wear the sticker. Which, made Stitch sing. Anyone know that CM? Great personality. Told me that one could never have too much coffee. (I think my son had more fun listening to people say happy birthday than I did!)
After a quick lunch at Pizza Port, we tried racing to Adventure land to meet the Tiki Folks.
“Mommy, they ALL have leis! We have to have some!” We snuck by Tiki folks in the crowd, ran to the store to get some. Picked quickly and I got in line…. Then, what seemed like an hour, and only two purchases ahead of me, it was my turn. We left.. we joined the Dole whip line… I looked across the path… OMG look at all those people. I sent the offspring across the path to Mickey ”Fire High Five” Lumbo, which I think took him two minutes to get across, only to have ML walk to us in the dole whip line at the same time. Poor kid.
I was in line with DP when two of my co-workers found me. They got to listen to MickeyLumbo talk about phone calls, and then informed me they had never been in the Tiki Room. I invited them to stay, alas, they left.
The offspring loved meeting the new people who are just as nuts about D-land as mommy is, and not grumpy about it like daddy.
I don’t know that he remembered the last time he was in the Tiki Room. He was probably.. two? But to hear everyone singing, and then to have everyone beating the drums… made his day.
Then he wanted to ditch everyone, but they choose to ride pirates… okay, that’s safe he thinks. <Insert evil laugh> That was a mob scene of a line… I had to explain the dynamics of “good game” to him, and then we were okay. To EVERYONE – I didn’t even think to remember that he’s been taught to only give FIRE high fives! I’ve been trying for over a year to teach him that you can’t give everyone you encounter a fire five. I’m sorry I didn’t tell him to hold back sooner!
Anyway.. we LOVED riding pirates! I haven’t laughed that hard in a very very long time. He was sure we were going to sink, but that was all the adults talking that made him think we would. He got wet, very wet, and he pulled GusGus’s hair, and didn’t “think it looked good” as we tried to go up the hill. He loved doing the wave with everyone, and said it was the best ride on Pirates he’s ever had!
I wish I had known people were going to Blue Bayou, I’d have planned that in our day. He’d have loved that.
Thank you thank you thank you. My son thanks everyone, esp any male person who talked to him! He has a great fascination with men who will talk to him, and like what he likes. (it’s that whole, daddy doesn’t really do things I like, and talking to me isn’t something that happens often unless its about a video game) I think on the way home I heard, among many other things… “Your friends are cool mommy! I really do want hair like that tall guy. Everyone really liked my shirt, didn’t they! That was super fun! We should have rode more stuff with them! We forgot to go on the BIG boat! (oops) And You’re the coolest mommy ever”
I haven’t had that much fun on my birthday in a very long time. I owe you all!
