That's what I said several weeks ago but almost everybody thought it was fine. Interestingly I've been noticing that it has been opening faster for me lately.

I'd call my observations of this thread opening since Alex mentioned it inconsistent. Sometimes it loads slowly, sometimes it loads quickly. It's never been slow enough to pose a particular nuisance to me.

Of course, if the OP requests that it be closed, we'll gladly oblige. Similarly, nothing's stopping anyone else from starting a thread, whether this one's closed or not.

That's how I was voting last time it was brought up (pardon the pun), but since NA mentioned it, I've finally noticed a correlation between load times for THIS thread, and its size, versus how long (or not) it takes to load the other, shorter threads.

Part of me LOVES that we have a thread with this many posts in it. But most of me is incredibly impatient and will not stand for dialup-length load times.

Sorry to start a firestorm here.. just I've changed sides on the discussion.

It's supposed to be in the 90s here for the rest of the week. I don't mind the hot - and I'm trying desperately to move somewhere hotter - but up here we don't have air conditioning. Even at work there's no air conditioning. Blah.

In other news: 25 applications submitted today. Whee!
