Wow, that's awesome! For a change, good car news!

Soooo....

Cindy keep us posted please...hugs to you and Barnum. Hoping for the best. When i used to have Max (giant bloodhound/german shepard) he kept going to and from the vets first for a tear on his hind leg (cost you wouldn't believe) then in and out constantly for his ears (bad bad ear infections constantly) but he was so worth the trips to the vet and back.

Hoping Barnum gets a full speedy recovery.

Morri, I've known several Doxies that have had back surgery. They recover fine, but the recovery is a LONG precess - 6 weeks of constant care. Be sure to ask about that. Animal Planet Emergency Vets just had a Doxie that needed back surgery featured on the show. It's not uncommon for any of the "long" breeds to have issues.

Hugs to you and Barnum.

Sorry for the double post, but there needed to be separation between them.

I heard last night that the dog that bit my boob, Sosha, was put down. He had become more and more agressive, had seriously hurt her doggie sister, Sara, and the owner was afraid to have him around her newborn granddaughter. I have mixed feelings, but it's probably for the best.

No news at present. Based on last night, I expect "more of same". I have no idea what the "plan" is for this evening. When/if I pick him up, what we're going to do about getting him to a neurologist, how in the hell I'm going to pay for it, etc.

One bright note in my day: talked with our CFO to see what the status was on my "tax reserve" (money I have them withhold for me from commissions so I can pay my taxes on them). I'd forgotten that my accountant rocked and I didn't have to pay any extra this year, so out of the 2 grand I'd set aside from last year, I've only withdrawn $1200 (dp on car), and have $800 fully available for things, plus the set aside for this year's commission (deal around New Year's didn't pay me till 1st week of January which means I don't owe taxes till NEXT April), which I can borrow from if need be.

Of course that still doesn't come to the amount needed for surgery, but since I was in financial straits before Barnum hurt himself, I have resources to keep from falling apart completely. Now I'm just redoubling my efforts to get my clients in my car to see properties - hopefully one of my "active" folks will find something they like soon, because that would pay for surgery. And since I have enough in the tax reserve to catch up on my regular stuff, it could all go toward Barnum as long as I'm careful and don't get further behind.

Soooo....

Cindy that is good about the money if needed for Barnum's surgery. It's horrible when something happens to a beloved pet emergency situation and you need the resources so that is a good thing.

BarTopDancer that is good news about your credit cards. I am trying desperately to pay some of mine off before the next tour (plus putting away every paycheck) so far things are lookin good for tickets for the next tour yay

I apoligize for derailing the doggy good wishes... but...

So...
I strongly suggested that the Capt listen to an episode of Window to the Magic podcast.
he seems to be under the impression that he is not Disney geeky enough to live.
For some reason this amuses me.

(not his exact words, but close enough. I think he said he wasnt geeky enough to care.)

let me rephrase:

Im not Disney "informed" enough to have a place in any thread, podcast or other activity ACTUALLY relating to something Disney.

it makes me feel bad sometimes. but much like a good sneeze, Im over it pretty quickly
