In my little world: I just re-interviewed for my current job, which includes a pay cut. The sad part is I really hope I get it -- the new boss would be a great guy. I'm just naturally unhappy with the effective demotion brought on by the restructuring. Well, I might find out as early as tomorrow morning, so wish me luck!

MG - you totally rock. You did what you need to do to get what you needed from a situation that you did not create, nor do anything wrong in.

Now that it is over and the survival instinct motivation wears off make sure you take care of yourself. We're all here for you.

I'm glad that you're on the first real steps to it being over. I know that we're all so proud of how strong you've been through David & Dawns insane antics... How you held it together as much as you did - wow. And best of all, you've got Nick. You're gonna make it, after all!!

In the meanwhile, I might suggest that you take your posts from Sooo... and get ready to write a Lifetime movie. Seriously, you could make some bucks! Plus, it'll be AFTER the divorce, so it would be alllllll yours!

So I really love the new Justice album - joyful polyphonic noise on the verge of collapse - they made my ears hurt at Coachella - and I replicated the experience listening at volumes so loud I couldn't hear the bluetooth ringing in my ear - I was smiling broadly the hole length of the 405.

Stupid job. I hate writing up procedures. Especially for something as basic as "fill in the appropriate fields in the data entry form." What specific information pieces are required? Well, look at the form. See those labeled boxes? That's the info needed. How is this complicated enough to merit detailed procedures?

If I never hear the phrase "process improvement" again it will be too soon.

Read the 40 page instruction book for the IRS's one-page 1040-EZ and emulate it.

In a way that is what I do for a living and if you pull it off people will think you're a genius. And every time I think I should back off a bit I am presented with the anti-genius who really does need complete explicitness.

I am going to be feeling pain tomorrow... No more drinking on a work night.

I spent some celebration time with some friends. I also talked to my mom for over an hour. I love my friends and family.

I can't feel my face...or my toes... I think I lost my nose somewhere.... *sigh*

Today's major local news story: the operator of a local espresso stand is wearing a bikini and other "skimpy" outfits to increase business. The community is *outraged*. How dare they! It's selling sex, and therefore is prostitution! Meanwhile, the other local stands are advertising that they are "family friendly" and called the cops on the bikini stand because it's "disruptive."

This is why Seattle sucks. It's supposed to be all liberal, but when it comes to sex, suddenly it's a city of church ladies.
