Apparently dinner was the above, plus HALF the clafoutis (not half a serving, half of the entire dish), plus a plate of spaghetti, plus a few pieces of toffee, plus anything else I can get down my gullet in the next hour or so...

Morigoon - is that homemade spaghetti sauce? Have you previously posted the recipe? (I'll search for it.) If not - what do you put in yours?

Betty: I don't think I've ever posted it. It's not strictly Italian in nature (in fact, my sister-in-law informs me that my brother has given it the rather ignominious title of "white trash spaghetti"). But it's been the "family" recipe for decades, my dad having acquired it from his landlady when he was going to college in Hawaii in the 60's.

I'll pull it back out at some point here and post it for you if you like. Say what you will, it's tasty stuff
