I was looking into this campground a few years ago. They have rental cabins that look pretty dang swanky!

you know....camping? tents? building a cookfire? (vs starting the Coleman stove and opening freeze dried fillet mignon)

I know. And people who play music in a campground are the people who spend the weekend getting glared at (as we did last year at King's Canyon when the next slot over played the same three CDs for three days).

But then I grew up with camping where there wasn't another person within 25 miles so car camping in crowded campgrounds isn't my ideal.

Well, I can't live without music but I won't blast it. But I have to have it.

I have camped/slept in places like that but I don't like it much. But, then again, sleeping so close to so many people with basically a shower curtain seperating us didn't bode well with me, either.

But I would feel safety in numbers...

I always try to camp as close to a river as possible so a) I'm not surrounded and b) I get the whote noise of rushing water to drown out loudmouths.

Those {at HC} look like to be the perfect ones. It would be awesome to wake up with the river next to us and look up at would it be Half Dome or Yosemite Falls? Either way, awesome.

I once quite literally (in the CP approved sense of the word) saved a squirrel's life at Yosemite. I'm a local hero. I bet they still tell tales of my exploits.

Oh *eyes big with curiosity* do tell.

What about the bats, anyone see them? And, I've never seen one bear....

My son took practically a whole roll of film solely of squirrels.....
