So, today my boss (dept. administrator) calls me at 8am to warn me that there's email waiting for me telling me that the department chairperson (as in, the person I'm "assistant to" is in the hospital and critically ill. So now we wait to see what the next 48 hours brings.

So, it appears winter will strike sometime late this evening: Winter stormage.

Crap! Looks like I'll have a day to stay inside and put up Christmas stuff, I guess.

Of course, this comes the one day I really have to be at work because we're running a faculty interview, the chair's gone, the committee's now indifferent, and I'm left holding it all together for this great candidate that every other university with sense is recruiting, heavily, and it's *my* responsibility to put on a good show. Ish.

Damn snow. Better not happen!

So, we were supposed to go to Disneyland today, but spent the day at home, tending to the cats instead. It was a good day indeed.
