| Nevermind | I know, BTD. I can't believe how vicious some campaigns are becoming, and every time (which thankfully hasn't been too often) a Dem succumbs to the temptation to smear, I cringe. I am also amazed by the crossovers, on both sides. I am voting for a Repub sheriff, as are a lot of local Dems, and today I saw a large billboard for a Dem candidate for Congress (Peter Goldmark) that was paid for by 'Republicans for Pete'. I really think the people are starting to work through this devisive crap that has held us all back and aren't falling for the rhetoric any more. Then again, I am a 'glass is half full' kind of person and it could just be wishful thinking. |

				            | ^Back in the 80s Portland had a Democrat Mayor who belonged to "Democrats for Reagan"......a few years later we had a Republican Mayor who belonged to "Republicans for Dukakis". The latter may have been the only memeber of his organization

If I do that to the sentence you quoted, I...well, I can't because the word 'Repub' isn't in that sentence. 'Repubs' is in the post, so I did what you suggested: "I know, BTD. I can't believe how vicious some campaigns are becoming, and every time (which thankfully hasn't been too often) a Dem succumbs to the temptation to smear, I cringe. I am also amazed by the crossovers, on both sides.
