They didn't want to do it while pregnant, so they got rid of all the infection caused by the stone and have had her on a near-zero-fat diet to prevent another stone in the meantime. Today was the due date, so it's not like she was late, but they don't want to delay the gall bladder surgery any more than necessary so they decided to induce.

Big, huge congrats on your tiny baby girly niece!!!! She's gonna have you wrapped around her pinkies in no time at all.

Ugh, I'm so mad at myself.

So I emailed my mom and brother yesterday morning about the new addition to GD's side of the family, and promised myself I'd call them last night. I completely forgot. I don't think they check their email every single day, and I've gotten no response from them.

I'll call them tonight but I am so embarrassed about not calling before. I'm always so terrible about remembering to contact people. Can I crawl into a cave instead?
