Just made Maddie an appointment with a new Endocrinologist. So far I love them. A person answered the phone on the first ring, they can see her tomorrow (they also had a Friday slot) and all their new patient forms are online so I can fill them out and not waste time when we get there.

Her current doc I spent 25 mins on hold to make her last appointment which was 3 1/2 months out, earliest I could get. It took me 6 phone calls to get a simple prescription refill. Her actual doctors are fine it's just dealing with the office staff or lack thereof that's infuriating.

We'll see how it goes tomorrow. Her current doc tends to run late for appointments, one over an hour and a half. I'm hoping we like this doc better.

And...............they don't take my insurance. Crap. We're stuck with the group we're at pretty much.

In the meanwhile, Jason is out of the hospital, and I hope he's having a good day. I can't wait for all this hospital drama to be over with. I have high hopes for November. I have to.

In an effort to not be vague - Jason has a chronic condition that puts him in a fairly serious amount of pain from time to time. Unfortunately, for the past two months we've been in and out of the hospital (because of pain, infection, etc) on an almost weekly basis.

It's nothing major, just exhausting. Well, it's major, but it's such a regularly occurring thing that it's nothing to write home about any more.

So, this tired girl doesn't mean to be causing any worry.

What's fascinating is the cult of the McRib - salivating masses without any real semblance of taste who will go to some pretty wild extremes for the privilege of ingesting the questionable meat.

I'd say the word "fan" is more appropriate.

McRib fans don't refuse to eat any other type of sandwich.

McRib fans don't denigrate those who dislike McRibs.

McRib fans don't insist you will never go back to anything else once you've tried a McRib.

McRib fans don't feel personally insulted if you tell them you don't like McRibs, or criticize McRibs or McDonalds.

McRibs fans don't feel they are superior or hipper than non McRibs fans.
