AUUUUUUGH!!!! I'm just so freaking stressed right now.

Trying to figure out how to get enough time off to go up and visit my dad, who is not only in the ER right now because chemotherapy is kicking his ass, but he's got to go in for another scoping because he hasn't kept food down for 6 days. And Disney hasn't posted the schedule for the following week, so while I'm working on trading away my Saturday shift, I don't even know what I have on Sunday, so I can't make arrangements to give it away, and I'm only really able to deal with shift trades on weekends. And it makes sense for me to make a longer weekend of it, so I'd like to come home on the Monday, but that means getting permission to take a day off my other job, and I can't get a hold of any of the people I have to check with in order to take time off. And all of this is uber stressful because right now Southwest is having a fare sale to get up there but you have to buy a week in advance so I need to decide TODAY if I'm going to go up there next Friday night.

I know too much of what you're going through.

We're totally doing a drunken kareoke night soon, and cast family medical woes to the fire, hopefully in the same evening.

Hang in there, and be sure to take a few moments out for yourself, occupied with thought of the good things that are happening right now too. Any little thing that makes you happy can help wonders.

Cindy sorry to hear about your dad and the stressful situation you're in. (((((((HUGS)))))))))) to you.

I hear ya...i am sick. Went out for one errand this morning came home and am on the couch. I should be doing a million things since i have the time off but no i can't seem to get up from the couch at all no energy to.

I'd book the flight and then worry about the shifts. Family medical emergencies - call in sick next Monday if you have to.

I got hold of my bosses and got Monday off. Now I just have to get Saturday and Sunday off from the Mouse. Sounds easier than it is, especially since the schedule for that Sunday isn't out yet, and I need a manager's approval to trade to "off" with someone.

Yeah, but $300/mo less would be pretty stressful too. I'm behind on my bills as it is.

Oh, and I DID book the flights. Flying out Friday night, coming home Monday midday.

One nice thing is I was able to coordinate with my stepmother's sister so that we come up at the same time, and while I'm visiting with dad, her sister can take her out for a bit of break time and some sisterly kvetching.
