Sorry, CP .. but the instructions .. and of course, I wish I had them here ... but we read them a thousand times ... said to perform the "scoring" and "flaping" in "the space below"

The space BELOW.

Now, I grant you .. it was obvious that the task was to be performed on the attached, separate sheet. But why, oh why, must instructions at once declare that they must be followed precisely and also be completely misdirecting?

Darkbeer has stop-motion animation (oops, I mean photos) here.

I went through them and these are the only pics of swankers.

We had the same problem with this one. We did the scoring and flapping in the space below then tried to figure out how to hold that sheet over the other grids to make something show up, which of course it didn't.

Maybe I'm just a little testy this morning, but FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS PRECISELY IS NOT NITPICKING.

It is the way the game is SUPPOSED to be played.

Perhaps, as a beta tester, you are just a little annoyed that you missed this MISTAKE.

Because that's what it was ... it was an error in the game materials.

Sorry, but that bugs me.

(and sorry for shouting)

Yeah no problem with the advent calander one. In fact, by the time the second train full of MA'ers came by (we were on the first with about 5 other teams), we had solved the puzzle and it was time to move on. I believe the Happy Haunts were on that second train...and GD screamed something about us being cheaters. Not sure what he meant, but maybe it was because we were recording all the mouse-ear codes coming off the train. Or maybe it was because Babette was flashing him. Not sure.

I don't think she beta tested this puzzle, otherwise she would not have been able to play.

I on the other hand, did.

I do not remember the words "Below" but regardless, it did seem fairly obvious to me that the grid with the numbers was what was supposed to be used. Our grid was a little messed up in the test, but even with it a little broken, we were able to figure out the question pretty quickly.

And during the beta test, we were running real time also. I was pooped at the end of the day.

Actually one of the staff umbrella holders came by us where we were busily working on the puzzle at about 3:50 and told us to head over to mouse central so they did come down a little before 4. Although I'm not sure how quickly you could have gotten the puzzle done by then anyhow.

Not quite. In the Eye Spy, the clock near the TOT had a different time than what the MP staff had recorded previously. After our answer was marked wrong we disputed it & a staff member went to DCA to check the clock. AVP told us at the award ceremony that we were correct & would receive credit for our answer.

LOL! I remember a year ago one of the MA questions was 'Which character does not appear in the birthday scene in Winnie The Pooh ?' I think we were the only team that didn't have to ride the attraction to get the answer.

Yes, the umbrellas came down at 3:50. I was under the Umbrella of the Beast (666) over by the CA Screamin' launch point, trading off places with another staffer. The other blooms were by the ampitheater and in the seating area of Cove Bar.

It was decided that they would come down a bit before 4 PM, since there was no way that teams still doing the Sun Wheel puzzle at that point would be able to finish by the 4 PM deadline. Before that time, the umbrellas were always up and we made every effort to keep ours aimed so that it would be visible from the Sun Wheel.

Next time I'm assigned to a task in DCA, I'm going to request an air-conditioned suit. DCA is like the surface of the Sun in sunny weather.
