My sister made bacon-wrapped dates for a party a few weeks ago. Some unstuffed, some stuffed with parmesean. Deeeeeeelicious (the stuffed ones were definitely the winners).

I had bacon wrapped dates a few months ago, where the dates were stuffed with nuts. I can't remember for sure which nut, but probably a pecan or almond

The W Lakeshore in Chicago used to serve chorizo stuffed, bacon wrapped dates - best appetizer ever.
