Was there all day, nary a green baseball cap in sight.

I could have used that dollar to help pay for my Shag swag. Or perhaps the drinks at the TJ's Cantina. Or dinner at Storytellers....

Actually, come to think of it, a dollar wouldn't have helped much at all.

I would hear it!

Tref Falls - I like the sound of that. I must
name a waterfall after me post haste.

Alas, nobody spotted me. Woe is Tref. Saturday has come
and gone. At least I still have my dollar. So, it is with much sadness that I return the Spot Tref For A Dollar prize money back into the vault, a.k.a. my wallet, for another four years.

Still, I did have a swell time. I don't think I have ever gone to Disneyland during the summer, and now I think that was probably a good thing. I could not help but feel a general sense of malaise over the park. I saw tempers flare a few times from both cast members and guests. Maybe it was due to the hot weather. I do not know.

I noticed one thing while I was there and tell me if this is not true, few people can pull off the line jump with any amount of grace & dignity. And by "line jump" I mean cutting through the queue by way of over or under the ropes. I saw many try. And I also saw many trip, stumble and catch their forehead on the ropes.

Billy Hill was great as usual. The whole act is great, but the lead Billy, in particular, is excellent. But something else struck me at the BH show -- chicken strips. I saw a lot of people eating chicken strips. Indeed, I have never seen so many chicken strips in one are. Litterally, hundreds, maybe thousands of chicken strips were being consumed during the show. Why the emphasis on chicken strips at the exclusion of all other foods at Disneyland? I do not know. What I do know is that Disney must have gotten a good price on chicken strips because THEY WERE EVERY-WHERE!

I think they are trying to squeeze in too much into the Jungle Cruise ride.

Tower of Terror was not as good as the one in Florida, but I guess everybody all ready knows that.

The Pooh ride was a travesty of a mockery. That ride cost all but ten cents. Yet, there were a few things I quite enjoyed about the ride, too, though they are overshadowed by the loss of the great Country Bears. Sad-ness.

Was something supposed to be new about Indiana Jones? I didn't see anything. I also noticed that the tracks no longer lead to the other doors of destiny. What happened?

I liked the fireworks.

I liked the bakery goods store at the end of the Pooh ride. I bought me a rice krispy treat dipped in choco-late. Anditwasgood.

I liked the California Screaming (?) roller coaster in DCA. That is one hell of a ride. On my other hand, I disliked the surfer dude countdown at the beginning.

I saw a collection of chewed gum stuck on a low ceiling whilst on the PotC ride. Yuck.

I likee the new skeleton painting in the hallway of the Haunted Mansion, but where did the other painting go --- and why change only one? Were their complaints?

Steve Martin looks like a puffy old woman in the 50th Anniversary film. Another bad face lift. Sad na lang.

The Tiki Room looks great.

I look great, too.

And that is all I can think of at the moment ...

The large Snake is the only new thing on Indy. It has more movement (its hood flares, its fangs unfold) than the old one. The door selection room has been out of commission for at least a few weeks. Annoying, but I'm consoled by the fact that all 3 fire effects have been in working order.

Some of those chicken strips were probably either fish and chips or mozzarella sticks. That's the menu at the Golden Horseshoe Theater, as well as the Sage Door Cafe these days, and it's one of the better deals in the park.

For some reason, I'm not sure why, a swap was made between our Haunted Mansion and Florida's. We received the painting of Master Gracey, they received the the aging woman. Not sure if it's permanent. No complaints heard.

The park has been excedingly crowded, more than they expected. Combine that with the beginning of summer heat and a shortage of CMs thanks to the food service issues, and you've got cranky guests and CMs.

I'd relate the story of walking down mainstreet at twilight when I was 13 just before a parade and attempting to jump over a rope only to catch my foot and fall rather ungracefully to the asphalt, but I won't because it's embarassing.

I, too, was there! I saw nary a Tref or Cadaverous Pallor.

However, I did see the Fireworks finally! I usually see them en route from the Golden State freeway. I thought I enjoyed them set to the Depeche Mode Cd's in my car, but wowee wow wow wow! I LOVED them live. I was so impressed!

I forgot all about riding the Jungle Cruise.

I faced a humongo fear, out of love, and went on the Maliboomer. When it was my turn to ride, I began to lose control, like I do when I board an airplane. I began to hyperventilate, shake, and fogged up my little clear face shield. As it shot me upward into the lovely evening sky, I screamed bloody murder. It took serious convincing to get me on Tower Of Terror last summer, which I love. This almost killed me.

When my little seat came down, the entire line cheered & clapped for me! Then, a castmember came over immediately to see if I was okay and "wanted to ride again". I turned a squillion shades of red (I didn't know my fear was that visible) and finally lost the shakes by the time I got to Tower Of Terror.

The things we do for love.

You know, Tref. I saw someone at DCA that looked like you, but was about 30 years older than I remember you.....and the hat was blue. We were watching Block Party Bash at the time. I certainly wasn't going to yell out TREF!!!! Although, with all of the crazy dancing going on there, probably no one would've noticed.

30 years older then you remember me? Good Lord! I resemble a seventy year old guy? I need to start eating better.

I do not even know what a Block Party Bash is, so that was most likely not me. My hat was green, too. I went into DCA as it opened at 10 am and stayed just long enough to hit the Tower of Terror (twice) and the roller coaster, then it was back to Disneyland.

I love those bags of Disneyland pretzels. They're awfully good. I may have to go back just to snag a few more bags.
