I am 14/16 in my pool after the first day - nice indeed. However, I made the worst pick of the day.....I had GW over Vandy. Vandy won by 33.

Oops.

(didn't have VCU over Duke either, but that's understandable)

I also went 14-2 yesterday. But unlike Coach L, I had VCU and Vandy. For some reason i went with ODU over Butler.

And Gonzaga.

I didn't really hold out much hope for the Zags this year, so their loss was no surprise. Of course, the Cougs took some of the edge off that one.

I'm sad for Long Beach today - I hope they can continue their fine basketball program into next season. And after all I'd heard about the 12th seed being the magic number. Oh, woe is Long Beach!
