My mom once told me if I'd been a girl I would have been Amanda Lynn.

Apparently that was what passed for funny in the late 60s.

Small world. I have a friend who, when her daughter was born, planned on naming her Amanda Lynn. That is until the nurse said she hoped the baby would be musical. Out went Amanda Lynn....

I like my name. It's short and sweet. (unlike me) Though I will gleefully change my surname to Szczerbiak after He and I get married.
