Between 2006, last year and this year, the Cardinals have become the Shaquille O'Neal of baseball, stumbling indifferently through much of the season, getting it together at the end and being stellar in the playoffs.

So, it wasn't a major choke. It was destiny.

I think the Yankees are going to petition to retroactively roll the game back to the middle of the 9th and concede.

It took them a while, but they shook off their own form of rust from playing the dreck that is the rest of the National League West, their pitchers have come through, they're playing great defense and getting plenty of timely hitting, and Bochy is doing a great job of managing. Those fat guys in Detroit deserve to get run out in four."

Well as fun as it would be for a shutout, I hope Detroit bags a game or two so the finale can happen in SF with a big win. Apologies to LSPE!
