I've never seen eggs cooked in a microwave (maybe on an infomercial, but that doesn't count). It doesn't sound like a good idea. (But then again, I don't cook anything in a microwave.) Can it really be done?

I think I know exactly what I have done wrong now. I think I am not stirring them well enough
I do eggs two at a time. How much milk should I put into the mixture? Also If I want cheese do I add that to the mixture before I put it in the pan or after? Thanks everyone. |

Don't add milk, that might help.

Yeah, decent scrambled egg type products can be produced pretty reliably with a microwave. They tend to be a bit airier than I'd like, but they're fine.
And a bonus, if you're going to put it on a sandwich (which is why most breakfast sandwich places I've seen do it) is that it is of a solid piece rather than bits that will fall out of a sandwich. One key, though, is to take the egg out of the shell before microwaving it. Skip that step and things just won't work out for you. |

I can't help but laugh as I recall It's The Easter Beagle Charlie Brown! and the scenes where Peppermint Patty tries to teach Marci to boil eggs and she screws it up every time (Making egg soup, frying them, toasting them, waffling them, etc)

I spray the pan and I have either cracked the eggs into the pan or cracked then in a bowl and whisked them. No matter which way I have done...I will stir them around (but I guess not enough to help) and while some of the eggs come out wet and somewhat runny while other parts of the eggs come out brown and crusty...looking almost burnt. I don't put it on high heat...medium heat is what I use. |

I would add the cheese later. Wait until they are almost done and put it on top. stir around but make sure the cheese doesn't burn. |

![]() I always use milk when I scramble eggs; about 1/4 to 1/2 cup for 2 eggs. I've never done them in the microwave. Cheese gets added later; it doesn't need to cook, just to melt, and will stick in the pan badly if you cook it with the eggs. Grate it and put it on the eggs after you get them on your plate.
