The kiddo is gone for two weeks. She's never been away this long. Whatever will I do with myself? Besides of course worry. Hopefully I packed enough of everything. Sigh....

She's a smart kid. Anything that got overlooked, she'll figure out.

International? Sounds like a trip of a lifetime!
I know what you are going through to some degree. I've sent my kids off on trips. Daily check-ins are how I got through it.

I am sure she will be fine KS, what a great opportunity for her!
I think the big question should be What fun thing can Mom do for herself during this quiet time?

Soooo.... my husbands paycheck was returned for NSF.
Yes. We just moved to another state for this job. I'm trying very hard not to worry about this because, frankly, there is no going back at this point. At least not in a way that would be a planned and easy transition. Also - WTF?! We had banking issues the weekend we moved with our bank changing computer systems, a big move, and walmart charging my credit card twice and starting a fraud alert on my account. Also, my husband paycheck held because of a possible NSF - but that seemed to be cleared up with a quick phone call and immediate release of the funds after I spoke to a different customer service rep. Yes - all that on one weekend as we moved to another state. I chalked it up to the poorest timing ever and lack of training on a new system. Now though? I'm rather alarmed. What sort of business has NSF issues with payroll? And I can't help but wonder if it's actually my bank having issues with out of state affiliate banks and junk. In the mean time, if he deposits a replacement check today, it's not going to clear for days and days. I guess we'll have to open an account at a local credit union after all.

And after the operation you'll be a good girl?
![]() Sorry, couldn't resist. I know you are a good guy, even when you are a bad boy. Man Betty, that sucks! I hope all gets worked out quickly. Where I work went through tough times, and my paychecks bounced once in a while. I taped the check to a tennis ball and bounced it back into the accounting department. They got a good laugh out of that.
