I'm picking up a thread from elsewhere here because I do not want to derail that thread, nor do I want to start a new thread.
I posted this in the "American Story" thread about my Great Aunt. Quote:

She lived her life believing that "only boring people get bored" and never once chose to sit back and do nothing. And I made no joke when I said she'd be happy to tell you about it. While her body finally made her last couple of years physically problematic, she never lost an ounce of her wits. Or her desire to share it with you. She will be missed. I'll have a cup of proper tea tonight for you. I just wish I could read the leaves.
