Only 6 ft? That's not too bad these days. My daughter is 6'1" with out heels, and she does wear them when she dresses up.

Perhaps Not Afraid could chime in on the subject?

I love wearing heels! But, it takes a very special shoe to make heel-wearing comfortable for me. I generally stay in the 2-3" range which makes me 6' or 6'1". A heel much higher than that and I can't walk (at least not attractively). But, I also love being tall.

I'm rearranging the living room now - advance preparation for major change coming (semi)soon.

My equilibrium is pretty messed up and anything above 2-3 inches is not fun to walk in. I do have 4in boots that I love but the zipper broke. It seems all the cute shoes have 4in heels these days.

Four inch heels are a bit much. Shoes are one of my weaknesses. I buy heels that I know I'll never wear. Just because they're pretty. My latest pair came from Target- brown heels, round toes, that kind of look like they're made of wood. I'm trying to find a good pair of high-heel Mary Janes, and a pair to replace some I had that looked very 30s.

I'm glad to hear that the fashion will be round toes! I really hated the pointy toe ones and never bought any of those.

OOoooh!! Do tell!

On that job, I haven't heard back after my last response, so no meeting date/time has been set yet, but I'm not losing hope - it's the weekend, and most people don't do business on the weekend. There's also interest from a non-profit that pays somewhat decent, and I could easily do both jobs, which would be 45 hours combined, mostly working at home (and with the way I work, that's only 3-4 days, leaving some nice time to work on History Treks). If I do get both, we'd have about $3,000 per month after expenses. My gods, the things we could do! Like, rebuild the empty savings, save for a house, take another cruise, and also buy some needy kids a really awesome Christmas, and actually afford nice gifts for friends.

That would be great. Here's to making that all happen!

I did a whole bunch of furniture and stuff rearranging while the monkeygirl was at work today.

I basically reversed the living room - the couch is now where the tv used to be and vice versa.

My computer is now at one side of the couch, Rose's is at the other, so we can sit next to each other when we're online

I was also able to integrate the Wii into the whole setup, and other than a bit of spot work, our living room is just about finished (for now).
