Well, the neighborhood hasn't burned down yet - but there's a scary orange glow on the hillside, and we occasionally get bits of ash.

This was a really fun anniversary, though - lot's of screaming and laughing.

It's an obscure (and funny) reference from an "I Love Lucy" episode.

Had a visit with my new doctor. I really like him. He seems like the kind of guy who is level-headed and whom I can tell anything without feeling judged (which I have by previous doctors).

I may possibly have hypertension. (YAY genetics and crazy schedule!) I can manage my tonsils. (A story probably best saved for another day!) Both of my knees naturally hyperextend, and that's a portion of the reason I've been having so much knee trouble - that and the weight gain, etc, which is being worked on and I'm down 5 lbs! (Go genetics, again!)

All in all, not too shabby!

There are certainly some awful, judgmental docs out there, but the good ones are there too. My current doc is terrific.
