I never dissected a kitty, but I did have the sad duty of removing one from the wheel well of my uncle's truck.

I managed to make it through my entire education never dissecting anything. We did earthworms and frogs in 8th grade but I was legitimately sick both times.

Then I considered biology the most boring of all sciences so despite taking six years of science classes in four years of high school, none of them were biology.

But I never had a problem with vivisection and view it as a valuable thing (though not so valuable that high school kids should be forced to do it so long as they can demonstrate the requisite knowledge otherwise).

I got a written excuse to miss any vivisection.....no way could I cut up an animal, not even a dead one.

Nala's vet called with her test results this evening.

Thankfully, she only has hyperthyroidism and will only be subject to taking a pill in her food from now on.

I am SOOOOOOOO relieved!

And, I'm also happy to see that we'll soon have a kitty who's no longer skin and bones.

Glad to hear that! My Aunt has a cat with the same thing. It was like 20 lbs overweight, so It never became skin and bones when loosing 60% of it's Body weight, but it's still dangerous. The cat has evened out now, but still not as big as before. It actually ripped the cat door off the door trying to go outside!
