Um, I enjoyed quite a few restaurants at Disneyland Paris. Ok, well, maybe not quite a few. But a few. The saloon in Frontierland was so great and fun, I'm sorry we did not get to try it again on our second trip. The Blue Lagoon (at Pirates) was decent, if not spectacular. Toad Hall had some nice fasty foody items. Walt's on Main Street was really good, both times we visited.

There was a restaurant at the Hotel New York that was good, and other one at the Sierra that was fine. I guess I can't be too specific because I can't recall names, but maybe it's just Disney Village that was decidedly sub-par.

Of course, we did most of our better dining in Paris proper. Perhaps you've heard - - they have some great restaurants there.

I suppose the lesson we took away was that food-on-the go at the Paris resort is a bad plan of action. Hours, especially off season, are weird and very little that you can grab quickly without reservation is any good (the baguette sandwiches at the deli counter on Main Street were an exception). Given the opportunity to try again we'd put more effort into planning and scheduling around food.

What would be totally scary would be if the voice boxes on the Mickeys malfunctioned and started spouting off gibberish lines, and the head wouldn't come off, and smoke started pouring out of the ears and neck..... ohhhhh man that would be nightmare city!

This is so damn awesome.

Now there's something worth waiting in line for! (Though I guess now the lines will be twice as long.)

I think this might go a long way towards making the rubberheads less scary for little ones. The mute thing is just weird.

I like talking Mickey. I finally got to watch the vid. My computer at work has no speakers. I'm convinced that the guy in the costume is doing the voice and somehow the puppetry too. There are too many spontaneous moments that happen and Mickey's movements match perfectly. I hope they give all the Fab Five characters the same treatment...
