Well, its only 31.4 miles. With an average walking speed of 2.7 MPH, giving for a 5 minute break every hour, it would take a little over 12-1/2 hours. Since the game starts at 2:10 p.m. PST and allowing for an hour before-hand to get in the stadium, buy nachos and beer and enjoy the pre-game festivities, she could stay with us through the stroke of midnight.
But alas, she will miss the 1:00 dropping of the pants.

Actually, after some research and discussion, I decided to play it safe. I'm driving to the Zoo and carpooling in from there with my dad.
Had a lot of good reasons to go this route. Looks like Metro is forbidding bulky items like chairs and coolers due to expected crowds. Since we'll be arriving so early, we plan (at least my brother and I, if not my dad who seems all too fond of the idea of walking around for 4 hours) on tailgating at my brother's car, so I need a folding chair. And also, I'm bringing my brother's family's Christmas gifts to him. Plus, after the game, we'll be going out to dinner somewhere, and I didn't wanna run the risk of issues getting back to Long Beach. So in the end, using the Zoo parking lot (wide open and free, often used for park n ride to the Hollywood Bowl) seemed the best option.
