The bathroom is now considerably pinker than I had planned. An assertive shade of pink. Lighter version of cranberry. Like raspberry ice cream (not sorbet) pink.

The guy who inherited our house last year came down today with his wife and sister-in-law and grandkids and an architect and a structural engineer and a termite guy to walk around our house for two hours. It was a set meeting, so we expected it (except for his friggin family) - but toward the end, the truth came out - he's planning on selling his house in Olympia WA and moving here. In a year or two. Basically, it's what we knew would happen, we're being slowly kicked out. Or maybe kicked out with lots of notice. Whatever.
Realistically, we've needed this to happen to force us to get off our asses and look for a place to buy - a quarter million in rent over the past decade and we own nothing. Not sure where we're going to look, but maybe the greater LA area? Perhaps. Just gotta find some work down there...

Anyway, so I'm all cranky until a box shows up from Japan. It's the cool little video camera I ordered last weekend. I charge it up and start taking videos. Yay! Except... there's a friggin hot pixel on the CCD. And since I bought a Japanese model (on eBay), there's no warranty.

But, like the crappy rental story, there's even a silver lining here. I emailed the guy who sold me the camera, and he's sending me a replacement camera - so I'll still have it in time for WDW.

I'm exhausted. My problems are so small compared to most people in the world. I needed to vent. Thanks for listening.

Oh yeah, if you want to see the video I shot (very dorky movie of my sleeping dog), I stuck it on YouTube for your "enjoyment".
