Our Tivo now has a feature that allows you to undelete things you have recently deleted. Very handy. Just appeared there one day after an update.

I finished Bad Twin which was a passable book but has very little to do with the show. They fly Oceanic from LA to Sydney and back again, and they reference Hanso, but that's about it.
Here's the best part - the detective ends up at the Hanso Foundation offices by mistake and reads this plaque: Quote:

Reminder....last episode prior to the finale next week airs tonight.
Gn2Dlnd - how's the DVR situation? Or are you just going to watch it on your computer? |

The Tivo seems to be working ok - but it's good to have the streaming video as a backup. Did anyone else check it out? It's very nicely done.
I might have discovered a bug in the Tivo, I'm not sure yet. I tend to leave the Tivo paused on whatever I'm watching, so I don't have to search through menus and possibly get sidetracked by a new Simpsons episode. Since I've stopped leaving it on pause, I haven't seen the problem. I guess I'll know for sure, when I get home from the Park tonight. Thanks for asking.

Not my favorite episode, but it was nice to see what was going on with Michael while he was gone. Walt seems to have confirmed what had been alluded to in the past - that the Others are acting to cover up what is really going on in the hatch that they are guarding.
Is Eko becoming the new Locke? Faith in the button? I'll be curious to find out the origins of the boat and what Sayid comes up with to turn the tables on Michael. And by the way....I could have sworn I saw Desmond in the Others camp. Last edited by scaeagles : 05-17-2006 at 09:31 PM. |

I was surprised they trotted out Walt. He's aged a LOT and I was sure they were going to continue the ruse of "you can't see him". (We saw the actor in a guest shot on My Name Is Earl a few weeks back.) Since they waited so long I guess people have sort of forgotten what he looks like, but still, he was freakin' tall in that scene.
Michael is an ass - I couldn't comprehend delivering up 4 people (much less 4 plus killing 2 myself) in order to save one person, no matter who that person is. Sorry GD! ![]() Eko's "faith in the button" seems a little bizarre. Push it, dig it, sure, but sit in front of the monitor and don't attend the funerals, even though he's the resident priest? Remember, Libby was his comrade in Tailie arms and Ana Lucia was his Fearless Leader (though we all know he only follows his own path).

For the first time in Lost-watching history, I was bored with this episode. Yes, Michael was doing it to save Walt. Yes, Sayid realized Michael was lying (and we saw this in the trailer.) Ok, so there's a boat. I just didn't feel that all that much was revealed.
And "all our questions will be answered" in the finale? Hmm. I think the X-Files said that a lot, and they never answered anything, either. I think I'm stil resentful about Libby. I am never going to be OK with it, even if they explain her backstory someday. They've only killed off women since Boone, and there weren't a lot of women to begin with. Say all they want about how they're just serving the story, you can't tell me they're not making the balanace more testosterone-heavy by getting rid of her. (I don't care about Ana Lucia-- that was my problem with her from the start.) |

I love Miss Clue's name, I love that the Others' costumes are all monochromatic, while the Losties are colorful. The DVR. I believe it's haunted. I set the Tivo in the living room, and the computer in the bedroom to both record Alias and Lost. So, first choice is to watch in the living room because I made myself some hot wings and I have a new coffee table on which to eat them. Alias was fine. Lost was fine! Until the end. At the funeral, Hurley turns towards Michael and says, (screen goes to menu, "Lost: 3 Minutes.") AAAAAAGH! First off, the episode was 1 hour, 4 minutes according to the Tivo. It turned off at 1 hour, 1 minute. And when I say turned off, the entire Tivo system turned OFF, and reset itself. About a 5 minute process. WTF? So, it "lost 3 minutes." Which was the name of the episode. I'm not making this up, I kept the episode on the Tivo just in case I have to prove it to any of you (shakes fist.) So, I retire to the bedroom, after washing my dishes, and the computer has dutifully recorded Alias, thank you, and the first 45 minutes of Lost. ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ??????????????????? Thank you, ABC.com for posting the entire episode this morning, so I can see Hurley decide to join Michael (No Hurley!,) and Sun see the boat. They cram a lot into those last couple minutes. The boat is a red herring. "See Michael, you bring those four people to us, and we'll give you your boat. It won't take you anywhere, but enjoy it just the same." Notice, the boat appeared the second the only holdout agreed to come. Sayeed is gonna fvck Miss Clue up.

Dude, your Tivo is screwed up.
Good theory on the boat, but I think the boat may have something to do with Desmond. We haven't seem him for a while, and he was sailing around the world when he ended up on the island. What if, when he ran off into the jungle, he went to go try to repair it? What else could he have been doing? I wonder how much will be resolved in the finale. They have promised to tell a lot. I don't mind new mysteries arising as long as they clear up some lingering ones. I agree that Sayid is going to kick some butt, but it seems as if Ms. Clue may be a little high up in the organization to get to. |
