What a great list so far! I'd toss in Bobby Darin's "Love Swings" LP (I doubt he or anyone back then got the double entendre), "Natural" by Celso Fonseca for the Jobim fans who need something new, and maybe even a little Tindersticks...

All great choices so far!

I'd add (obvious to me choices):

Dave Brubeck - Take Five
Nat Cole Trio - Hit That Jive Jack
Martin Denny - Quiet Village
Burt Bacharach - The Look Of Love (I think someone mentioned this)
Herb Alpert - The Lonely Bull
Love Unlimited Orchestra - Love's Theme

For giggles: Chuck Mangione - Feels So Good

and I always have to mention these guys:
Beach Boys - Pet Sounds (a rejected James Bond Theme)

This list could go on forever!

I really groove on both of these cats!

Flub~ I bought the Smile CD on your recommendation. I think I might put it on and try to get some work done today.

A wise decision.

And how is it that nobody has mentioned the music of the late, great, Esquivel? Good Lord, man, he practically invented space-age Swankology!
Hep to this cat, forthwith.
