My stupid laptop's stupid hinge is broken. So I have to take it to the repair place, which won't give me a timeline for repair, other than laptop repairs generally take two weeks. Which means I'll be around a lot less. Please try to restrain your enthusiasm until I've actually left the building.

I think I'll call the new computer "The Turbo Squid Electric Evisceration Happiness Machine"- I've got a great idea for the logo

It's that time in the afternoon, when, if work is dead (like today) I have to fight to stay awake. I've just put on the "Martini Lounge" station and am bongo-ing my desk.

Seemed appropriate to stop on by and share the swank!

Heh, that's funny... it's martini hour for you, and it's beer night for us! We just boozed it up at work on a Wednesday evening and an interviewee walked in and caught us, beer and all. (In our defense, a coworker is leaving and we were celebrating with her.)

I was asked for my zip code today at a sporting goods store. Feeling a bit perterbed by the long line, I decided to give them a false zip code. I realized that the choices available in my immediate memory were 90210 and 60609. Thank you Beverly Hills 90210 and Spiegel Catalog.

Not a bad idea! I think I'll look up a few to give out. Like Watts or Fairbanks. That should get some attention in some office somewhere. I hate how they want all our personla info.

I think we should all start giving the zipcode to some remote small area from back east when ever we are asked here in CA. They'll think it's a movement or something!

I usually give out the Hilmar zip code. After 22 years it still rolls off my tongue. 95324 is much easier for me to say than 93309.
