Wow, those are some awesome places, Steph!! I am definitely going to add those to my travel favorites!! The Hubster wants to camp along the coast...perhaps the first one {I forget the name} would do? That looks soooo cool! {probably what Kevy & Gus Gus' tent is like?}

After spending 15 nights on a boat with my dad, I think we'll be doing this trip without him this time around. Ken and I need some time to reconnect.

Question: was the plan to go up late Wednesday to be there Thursday early? I took Wednesday,Thursday and Friday (and the following Monday) off from work.

Your thread inspired us to go camping over the Memorial Day weekend. We stayed at Buck Rock campground - pretty primitive.

The short story - it snowed! Lot's. With extra fog.

while we had a great time - I hope you all don't have to deal with that mess! Brrrrr.... and more brrrrrrr.

We will be bringing two stoves: a large Coleman (three burner, 15K BTU) as well as our Road Warrior (or whatever it is called). between us and others, there should be no need to worry about stoves.

Panther Primitives is where we will eventually buy our own pavilion, probably something close to this one:



Although we will probably get a square one so that there is no ridge pole (makes for easier set up).

If anyone needs a tent, we may have an extra. After just spending one night in our lawn pimple this past weekend, she is insisting we get a larger tent for this trip. If we can find and secure one before KC, our current tent will be available.
