Last round - the Rat was sick, then I got sick. Then we had about a 5 day break. Then I got sick again, and now the Rat is sick again.

So far my 2010 has been about cough syrup and making sure I have tissues handy.

Grrrrr.

I went to a teller-less bank today. Actually it was a credit union. You go up to a counter and there's a TV screen there. After a couple of seconds a teller pops up on the screen. You send checks, deposit slips etc to the teller via pneumatic tube. The tube leads to another building across the street where the teller's office is. It's very Jetsons. The teller was young and I asked her if she knew who the Jetsons were. She said yes. I was glad to hear it.

Heh, your credit union went the opposite direction my bank did. I very rarely need to do any banking that can't be done at the ATM. So after not having gone inside a bank for years I was shocked to walk into a branch (then still WaMu) and see no bullet proof glass, no long counter at all. Just little cash register islands, far more of a personal feeling than any bank I'd ever been in before.
