Drice, that is so swanky!

I went to Phoenix over the weekend to celebrate my friend's impending divorce. We went to "Fat Tuesday" in downtown Phoenix. Now, if you've never been Fat Tuesday is also located in Vegas in the MGM, Caesars & the Aladdin. I highly recommend it. It's basically a bar with blended drinks that taste like slurpies. Mmmmm Mmm good!

Afterwards, we headed to a club called the "Owl's Nest". Located on the third floor above Hooters, it had a very swanky club/bar including a really great patio area that over looks the whole town. If it wasn't 1000 degrees outside I would have enjoyed the patio much more. Very cosy place with an interesting crowd!

Last Saturday night I met up with a friend visiting from out of town at a local place called Alessio's whose swank factor is greatly increased by the overstuffed sofas in the bar area where you can lounge & drink. Alessio's also serves Italian food that always smells good, but I'm a bit embarrassed to say I've only drank there, I've never eaten there.

Also, on Tuesday this week (I think, I've lost track of my days) my mom and I went to the Cheesecake Factory in Marina Del Rey and had Lemondrops & Avocado Egg Rolls on the patio....very yummy, and awesome view.

So not to brag but doing it anyways. This is what I did last week.

Monday - Happy Hour @ TGI Friday's @ the Block
Tuesday - Taco Tuesday Tortilla Flats in Mission Viejo
Thursday - Drinks & the amazing Phil Shane at Original Mikes in Santa Ana then Pierce Street Annex in Newport
Friday - Malarky's in Newport
Saturday - The Harp Inn
Sunday - The Harp Inn (part Deux) then Club Vegas
Monday - Beach party in HB with Lot

Last night we had Drinks at Bono's - (Owned by Sonny's Daughter, Christy) in Long Beach. The bar was rather swanky and my Manhattan's were delish.

Tonight, it was the House of Blues to see Brazilian Girls, great eclectic crowd included friends we hadn't seen in years. I was sticking to the fuzzy water tonight, but Lisa got hooked up with some swanky non-alki cocktail in the bar afterwards that was rather tasty - wonder if we'll ever figure out what it was.

I'd tally things up, but I'm with Marla on 3rd Street in Santa Monica, and we're really and i mean really, drink right now. I'm in the Apple store. Marla's catching a fly that flew in front of me. Justr4df7y wanna say that we went to Monsoon, the place we were at before, and we <3 you.

I attempted to add to the tally tonight. But what had be a perfectly fine pub, complete with English-style bar taking up much of the limited space, has added a live deejay and stuffed itself full of people whose major intellectual accomplishment is walking upright.

Grrrr.

I forgot to add that for a locally owned place Mauricio's sux.
There is a place called La Colonia on the east/central part of town that is really really good. The only problem is that it is in a verrrrrrrrrry bad area. It is surrounded by 20' walls topped with razor wire. dsnylndmom, if you have heard of the Cottonwood area, that is where it is/was located. It is not a part of town you want to visit if you are unfamiliar with the area.

Had a couple Manhattans at a swanky place by the airport last night. It was a perfect way to end the evening.
