And conversely when you drive through the Central Valley on 5 from SF to LA it all seems pretty empty until you drive through it at night and can see all the lights everywhere.

At the moment, I'm watching the smoke from the fire on the other side of Barham fill up the sky, AND I'm watching live raw footage on nbc4.tv

It's kind of surreal - you can see the flames from the bridge to the Studio Tour.

yeah i live underneath it, in the west hollywood area.. the smoke looks so spooky.. not fun...
