Considering that up here a successful lemon tree must be kept indoors, keeping the birds away isn't an issue.

And now for something completely different: Peeps for Passover.

In my family there is only one young kid at the moment. She's about 4 and is just now old enough to start being able to understand and participate in the seder. She read the 4 questions for the first time this year, it was great. She even had 4 question finger puppets (one side, a regular chair, the other side, a recliner. One side a happy little herb, the other a frowning bitter herb. Etc.). But the best part was when we got to the plagues...and mom pulls out her plague toys! I didn't get a good look at all of them, but I saw a cow lying dead on the table, a small vile of red liquid, a snake, a frog. We asked, "What the heck do you do for 'slaying of the first born'?". The answer? A pacifier.

I'm not sure if I was horrified or incredibly amused.

My mind thinks it's 21 and my body feels like it's 40. They need to meet in the middle, or it needs to be illegal to have this much fun or something.

I think we need those puppets to make our seder more interesting.

Now that I'm 40 I can't stay up late like I used to. I also can't see anything small without my glasses, which kinda sucks.

Yes, I realized this also. I always check the dates on my coins and found myself not doing it quite so quickly as before....sucks big time.
