I went to lunch at the little coffee shop by our house that we like. While I was eating, two women were seated at the table next to me. They started complaining to each other that there were "foreign" dishes on the menu.

"What the heck is TAL-ah-pee-ah, anyway?"

Then they asked the waitress that to "turn off that noise" (classic rock) and "change it to a nice Christian or country station."

I think they were in the wrong part of town.

Well, I'm still amazed that tilapia has suddenly in popularity here. I still think of it is as a dirty little fish advocated for aquaculture because it is hardy enough to survive in water you really don't want to be eating fish out of.

So.....while in everday life I'm a mild-mannered pain in the ass, I'd just like to throw it out there that at work I'm a rock star.

Was given a project a couple weeks ago for some complex new functionality. Was given crappy requirements and told to do some comp lofi designs for an executive review.

So I do it. And present it today. And during the presentation someone pipes up with "hey, we did several iterations of design, usability testing, and focus groups last year on this."

****, says I. So on the fly we start comparing the results of that with mine. Other than being lofis, my design almost exactly matches what they spent $25k coming up with last year.

Just had to say it somewhere since from here on out people will just assume I was working from last year's product.

Ooh, I guess I'm not the best people. Miracle Whip is icky, too sweet.

I'll take Best Foods second only to homemade mayo (which is the best by far).

My first wife came from a Miracle Whip family and I actually came to like it, but I haven't had it since then.

Never had Hellman's and Best Foods close enough in time to have a relative opinion.
