It was really nice, but I'd suggest using a milder bear, er, beer - maybe a lager rather than the one I did (Which was Victoria Bitter) as it really did give a slight bitter tinge to the cooking liquid.

Chili Mac, Spicy Southwest Slaw, Garlic Bread and Cinnamon Cake for dessert.

The Chili Mac & Slaw are new recipes I'm trying out.....the Chili Mac should be teen friendly, not sure about the Slaw. Have two teens here this evening.

all served with lemon sauce and chilli sauce.

I wanted scalloped potatos and ham but the kid wanted pasta. SoIi made a cheese sauce with assorted cheeses and threw in some egg noodles, ham and veggies. It was actually really good. I put some cream cheese in the sauce and it made it very creamy!

$3.99 8-piece fried chicken deal from the supermarket, loaf of fresh bread, broccoli salad, and potato wedges (eg: steak fries w/skin) from Trader Joe's. A feast for under $10.
