I actually think I'm coming down with something today. It's that whole "I was so stressed out since February, now that it's over, my body's letting it all go" syndrome where I come down with something super nasty.

I feel like I got hit by a mack truck.

If what you've got is anything like what I've got, save yourself the pain of doing it later and go out now to buy cough syrup, nasal decongestant, pain killers, cough drops, kleenex, etc.

That trip to Target today was NOT fun.

Yeah, my throat's all messed up, I am having headaches and bodyaches. Not too stuffy... yet.

I never get "fully" sick. You know.. the knock-down, drag-out, can't get out of bed sick. Which in some ways is good, but most of the time, it means I'm a part of the working-sick. I go to school, but try to not sit near anyone, I continue working. I never end up just staying in bed to get better, because I can't justify it.

So I'll be okay. You on the other hand... get over that flu!

I'm feeling better today, and I managed to get 10+ hours of sleep. For someone who rarely sleeps over 6.... maybe 7 on a rare restful morning, this is astounding.

Today is the day to make a Mission Cake, shaped like the Santa Cruz Mission. Nick has been driving me nuts wanting to know when my firends will be here so that he can get started on it. This should be an interesting experience. The house smells like cake and it is making me hungry!
