				            | Brian, don't forget to remove 5 miles from your "ridden so far" tally for every Butter Burger consumed, and 15 miles for every cake..... Yes, I'm on a diet again... can you tell?

| I Floop the Pig | Werd. I'm feeling rather topsy turvy at the moment, in a good way. Despite my initial reaction to the diet sent to me by my dr., I'm not finding it difficult to be good. I'm actually enjoying the excuse to look for other food options. And I'm definitely enjoying being on my bike again several times a week. Meanwhile, I've registered for school! In a week the first online course in what should be a year long program begins. I've already delved into a "teach yourself C" book to brush up on my beyond rusty skills, and I'm really excited about getting back into the learning groove. Especially since it will all be on my company's dime. It feels like a pretty significant attitude and outlook shift and I'm feeling really good about it. I may very well come crashing down some time in the near future as February looms ever closer, but for now I'm going to just enjoy the high.

| Not Taking Any Crap! | As promised here are some more photos. These are from Frankenmuth, Michigan this past Sunday. Dinner was held at Zehnder's chicken restaurant. I had already had many cakes so in lieu of that I got a Birthday apple pie. A costumed chicken named Drumstick brought it out. Here's a group shot outside the restaurant after dinner. Frankenmuth is an a Bavairan Apline village that is celebrating it's 50th Birthday. Since it is German naturally their celebratory display features artificial beer steins. There were many displays all around the town. Here's one by the Cheese Haus As you know I am not one to imbibe in alcohol too much but I got my first taste of a mudslide and boy was it tasty! Hope you liked those photos. More coming. |

				            | Wild, BD. I grew up about 45 minutes from there. Did you guys make it to Christmas Hell (I mean, Bronner's Christmas Wonderland?) The largest Christmas store on the face of the earth. Acres and acres and acres of Christmas stuff. My family would go to Zender's about once a year. Glad you had a nice time on the road! |

				            | Stop me if you've heard this: I think the interview went pretty well. I'm more excited about the job now than I was going in. But seriously... turns out there isn't one opening, there are 4, and there are two different job descriptions. One is working with the ops costume production folks, and the other is fabric procurement. Both sound great. They asked me which I'd prefer and I said honestly, both sound great and I'd gladly take whichever was offered to me. After asking more questions I said if I had to pick a favorite, I guess I'd lean toward the fabric one, but I'd really be happy in either position. Sounds like the applicant pool is less than 20 for these 4 spots, so decent odds. The openings are 1-year assignments (and you get to keep your seniority, they basically "borrow" you for a year), which can be renewed based on budgets. Needless to say, it sounds good, and I really hope I get it.
