Meh, it just doesn't seem kind of LA Times.

Then again, this is the sort of publicity that gets people to sit up and notice... and perhaps rally together. I keep thinking about the iGasm lawsuit (yeah, like it has anything to do with this, right?). Without that lawsuit, it's unlikely I'd have ever heard about it, and now... I'm interested. Perhaps this will increase local awareness and some semblance of local pride.
