If anyone goes and happens to score an autograph from Pauley Perrette you could make a young hipster squeal with glee.

I saw a sign over the weekend that said "Twilight ruined Comic-Con". I have no opinion one way or the other, I just wanted to share.

I've no idea who Pauley Perrette but I'm a bit scared by that pic.
We'll be there Thurs- Sunday and its Mindy's first SDCC.
Kevy- Hopefully there won't be any Twilight this year and the Twilighters will get the message to ship out!

Ms. Perrette plays the character of "Abby (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abby_Sciuto)" on the TV show NCIS.

I love Pauley Perette and my co-workers call me Abby. I may not dress like her but I guess I fit her personality.
I wanted to go but they aren't having anyone from SG-1 and I have some choice words for those involved with SG:U. Though I didn't know PP was going to be there. Is anyone else from NCIS going to be there? And more importantly, how in the heck is NCIS remotely classified as something for ComicCon?

My husband likes the Abbey character so much he named his GPS after her . . .

I've never been to Comic Con, and have no desire to. But I like those two exclusive Star Wars items (except that the Han Solo figure looks nothing like Harrison Ford).
The one thing I like about Comic Con is that they finally moved it off of Disneyland Birthday weekend, so it's not a conflict for many of my friends. Hooray!

My family {and all of their freinds} all are nuts over it. I've always just been mom making sure people don't over do, over spend, or get lost.
I like to see some of the things but mostly I am overwhelmed.
As a kid, I loved comic books. Richie Rich, Betty & Veronica, Archie. All of this is *whew* over my head.
But, I do live in San Diego. I've put myself off {I think} from work until the end of July due to a foot issue so....maybe I'll be around.

You'd know of course, heheh, but I read several places that Twilight wasn't going to be around this year.
Lets all pray.

It doesn't. Problem is that Hollywood has taken a comic convention and turned it into a media convention. While just about no one will complain about Sci-fi movies or fantasy movies having presentations, but shows like NCIS and Glee should not. Yes Glee is supposed to be there too. Start another convention for stuff like that.

Nothing? Geeze, you'd think they could a least publish a token graphic novel based on the show.

I do too.
Not the best Photoshop job in the world, but good.
My biggest gripe is that the artist could have blended it a bit better without blurring the area right below the chin, and at least match the head shadows with the body ones. But, nice try anyway.
Pauley's a really nice person. She's very giving and does a lot of charity work too. :)

One of the things that really reinforces her sexiness is the fact that she is forty-one! And it's not like "she's sexy for a forty-one-year-old," it's "she's sexy AND she's forty-one!"
Double yowza!
Oh, and uh... I hope everyone who is going enjoys Con

This should be interesting!
http://www.comicmix.com/news/2010/07/10/notorious-bigots-to-picket-san-diego-comic-con/
You’ve probably heard of Fred Phelps and his Topeka Kansas Westboro Baptist Church. He and his followers have well-earned a reputation as the most notorious, tasteless bigots in America. They get their thrills by showing up in force at funerals to protest the lifestyle or the politics of the diseased. These un-American vultures prefer going to funerals of gay American servicemen who were killed in combat overseas. They also protest at the funerals of those who “tolerate” homosexuality. Just ask the family of the late Meet the Press host Tim Russert, who also committed the additional crime of being Catholic.
It turns out they don’t like comic book fans either.
Writer Kurt Busiek posted what would be the responce.

Fetish Noir Invades Comic Con "THE MILLION KINK MARCH" (http://www.kinkyla.com/index.php?view=details&id=302:fetish-noir-invades-comic-con-qthe-million-kink-marchq)

A group of Fetish Noir members from Los Angeles will be marching through Comic Con. We'll be handing out Fetish Noir cards, pamphlets for the NCSF, and all kinds of goodies for the geeky and the kinky.
It will be a glorious sexual revolution, for both the repressed and the wicked, and the most amazing flash mob you've ever seen.

What about the Disney thing at the Midway? I've had conflicting reports. Some say on the computer, some say in the side of the ship.
