So far I have none. My record has been fairly abysmal in past years.
Anyone? Bueller?

Not formal, but I am going to take some acting/voiceover classes (I have previously pooh-poohed acting classes as mostly rubbish, and they may well be), with the intent of getting my businesses of cheese and show to co-exist. I haven't done a show in about 7 years. :(

I think that's awesome! Gosh, you do have a great voice, voiceover work would be cool.

I encourage you to check out your posts from last year (http://www.loungeoftomorrow.com/LoT/showthread.php?t=11594&highlight=2013)
I think I did okay - may have liked more travel and more hedonism, but who wouldn't. I have to thank Alex for keeping me somewhat creative with his photography challenge (http://www.loungeoftomorrow.com/LoT/showthread.php?t=11595&highlight=2013) - I seem to have accumulated over 300 pictures in my "Seen on my Dog Walk (http://www.tumblr.com/blog/seenonmydogwalk)" tumblr (and I have to say I've enjoyed the collections some of you put together to meet this challenge.
Going into 2014, my job situation is still uncertain though I'm confident I'll be fine whatever the outcome. There may be a relocation for me - or not. But in any case this has created enough of a thought experiment to make me realize what's important to me - and honestly a garage full of unused possessions isn't one of them. I hope to shed a lot of stuff this year so I can appreciate the things I really want to have.
Acquiring hedons is still in the mix, but I think I will try to do a better job of creating them for others. I have a tendency to withdraw into myself and I hope to be more aware of that when it happens and reach out to others and hopefully be more participant than observer.
I may add more as things fall into place, but that's my start for the new year.

I do plan to stop looking at things and asking myself "Do I need that?" and instead think about what I need and then look for that.
Aside from a slight kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com/) habit I did fairly well on that goal. Let's roll that one over into 2014.
I will also stay the course with my personal improvement plan. I'm down 30lbs since this time last year and I'm making good progress towards my goal of running the Disneyland 10k in late August 2014.
Also, and this one is a biggie, LESS Facebook, MORE LoT!

I did my traditional punt last year, making no resolutions
Last year I was barely in to the new job, a bit overwhelmed but in love with the challenge. This year, the challenge continued. There were a few tough stretches that kept me away from home and working long difficult hours.
Actually, in January I did end up making a resolution of sorts. At a company conference they presented some "employees of the year" awards. I made it my goal to win one this year. Frustratingly they seem to have dropped that practice as the company has grown. However, I'm fairly certain I would have had a better than good shot at winning and am proud of that. Don't need an award to validate that.
I finished school. Was in real danger of falling into the, 'Oh, I've just got one more requirement' trap, extending indefinitely until it just faded away. But I caught myself just in time, went into overdrive and got my final project done. Which will soon be published as a whitepaper (for whatever that's worth).
Looking forward - Hard to know. I could continue with the current company and stand a real chance of rising pretty high. It's a small company, I'm tight with a lot of the important people, and I've proven myself valuable. On the other hand, I am on an island, working from home in a different city than anyone else. And the amount of work MAY eventually catch up to me and kill me. Or we might get bought out within the year and everything changes. Who knows. But for now I'm good with continuing to give this job my all and reap the benefits.
On a personal life level, happy to be healthy, 3/4 year olds are wonderful and horrible little people all at the same time, and there's never enough time for everything. What more can I ask for?

Well not a lot changed from last year. Which isn't great. I still need to get to the gym more, or at least on a more consistent schedule.
I'm still at my job. But it's still going to be going away at some point which has been very frustrating. Yes it's wonderful that I still have a job etc but the uncertainty is really getting to me. I could go out and get something else but I feel a strong loyalty after 14 years to stay and help close it out.
So to sort of counteract that I got part time job at Pier 1 which I am really loving. I get to see people! Lots of nice co-workers. It's busy most of the time. Little extra cash. It's really been a wonderful mental pick up and I'm hoping I can stay on after the holidays.
Maddie will be off to college or home to college this year and that's going to be a huge change. And a lot of stress in what can be afforded etc.
So trying to get back to logging food, getting to the gym. Trying to at a minimum average 10,000 steps a week on my fitbit. Take down the Christmas decorations before February. Send out Christmas cards before 4th of July.

I love walking, it's my daily zen/me time. Even today at 19º with a stiff wind and a couple of inches of snow on ground I still went for a 40min (2 Mile'ish) walk at lunch.

Oh, and I've recommitted to fitness.
I really suffered for having lost my bike commute. 3-5 days a week of 20 miles of biking (minimum), which I looked forward to and was a reward/improvement over the alternative. Toward the end of 2012 I was probably in the best shape of my life.
Then I let my bike sit for 6 months. I forced myself to improve a little by signing up for the century ride again, but the training felt like a slog, and I barely managed to get myself in shape for it.
So last month I charged myself a pre-paid $15/month "You're out of shape, idiot!" tax - got myself a gym membership. So far at least, it's working. Love going there, making me feel great. We'll see how that goes as the pace of work picks back up from the holiday lull.

Last year I set a goal of an apple a week (average, or 52 apples over the year). I fell short of my goal, but got probably over halfway there, which is a HUGE increase in fruit consumption over the past.
Unfortunately, after weaning the kiddo this summer my thyroid went ape$h!t and I put on 20 pounds in like 4-5 months. Adjustment #1 has helped significantly, but I think short-term goal this year is get adjustment #2 to get the ol' thyroid back on track and then... deep breath... lose some fvcking weight. I know, cliche. I don't need to get thin, per se, just back into my old range, where I feel comfortable in my own skin. That'd be nice.
Oh, and to keep up with the apples. Because fruit is good for me.
I do have a resolution for the year, but it's a secret.

Is it bigger than a breadbox?
No, but will likely end up costing considerably more (not sure how much it would cost to build a time machine to go back and find a breadbox).

For 2013....I still need to keep aware that everything I do rubs off on my little guy. That I can feel it when I'm unhappy due to my time-use choices and that I need to listen to myself. That I'm not perfect but that's no reason to not try my best.
More physical activity would be good, too.Yeah, I haven't really grown much, have I? I guess these are issues I'll always have to face.
After the lazy holidays and being sick for a while I felt like garbage from all the laying around, so I jumped aboard the cliche train and got a Groupon for Zumba classes. I've only been once so far and I can't say it's a fully life-changing experience, but it was fun and I'm going to see my 20-class commitment out.
I still don't quite know what I want from creative endeavors. I didn't do as much creatively for Theo's birthday as I had in the past and I'm ok with that. The only thing I resolve to do is to continue to think about art and keep trying things whenever I get even the slightest urge.
I resolve to do more date nights. Who wants to babysit? :)

This looks to be a good year. Fingers crossed, I should become "permanent" at the job in April. May signals a significant positive life changing event, with another to follow, hopefully, in early 2015. My resolution is to not screw any of that up and to enjoy everyone in my life as long as I can while they are still here.

Good for you Pru! High hopes for the permanent gainful employment in April and all the other good things!
2013 started out good for me, then the last 6 months, between various injuries and plain old lack of discipline, my gym attendance fell off. I have the OKAY from my doctor to return to the gym, but watch the knee pressures very carefully. So, work off the lower part of the body might need some creative workarounds, no squats at present or machines that really stress them.
I guess nearly a month in to the new year, that is my resolution, to get back in the gym and get to feeling better and get some of the weight I've put back on, off. I know I will feel better, my blood sugar numbers will go back down (they inched up to just above normal fasting and I need to watch it).
Sad irony of life, I love to bake and always adjust for lower sugar and eat smaller portions and I'm pretty good at it. But, need to reign in my consumption of the baked goodies in favor of more veg as a snack!

Snow is there a pool at your gym? Swimming would be less stress on the knees.

Alas, Katie, no pool. besides, I would not be caught dead in a suit right now. :-) too scary for the other patrons!
I can do the weight machines and bike, looking forward to it.
