As our season comes to an end, we are pleased to bring you one of our favorite films of all times! A comic masterpiece about a successful comedy director who wants to make a serious film, but realizes he knows nothing about trouble. He sets out on the road with a dime in his pocket to find out what trouble is. Along the way he meets up with the lovely starlet wannabe Veronica Lake and together they seek out the world of hard knocks. Nobody marries crackling wit and spirited slapstick like Sturges, who brings a sassy edge to this satirical road movie, brimming with wisecracks and a truly moving portrait of Depression-era America.
DJs john Wyatt and Chris Cutis spin before and after the screening
