Want to know how to be popular and fit in. We made films in the 40's and 50's that taught us how. Great feature on NPR here (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=3304078&ft=1&f=1008).

I think I may have seen a few of these on Mystery Science Theater. Very entertaining indeed. :)

I absolutely LOVE these shorts from the 50's. They are some of the best entertainment from that period EVER!

I've got Ken Smith, B.A.'s book Mental Hygiene, and it is a hoot to read. But here is the good news. You can download a lot of these films for free from the Prelinger Archive (part of the amazing Internet Archive.) get ready to spend hours.

On the right hand side, you'll find links to some highly recommended titles. I dare you (yes, you read that right, in fact I double dog dare you) to view the film entitled Perversion For Profit. It's an amazing expose of the evils of smut from the dark heart of McCarthy's America.

You'll find lots of classic classroom titles, including the popular Lunchroom Manners with Mr. Bungle, made famous by Pee Wee Herman.

Yes, I have been obsessed with this site since I followed the links to it the other day - OMG these are gems, I could easily fill my hard drive with. Gotta get some blank DVDs and put the new laptop into service adding these to my own archives.
