Howdy. It has been sometime since I have written in the LoT but I just had to write about this today...

I find that there are some people in this world that have no shame. These people without shame always seem to find me.

Today I was visiting with another mother from my son's class. We were at her house and while I am nothing really but an acquiantance to her (we have never hung out more than 25 minutes at a time together or gone out or anything) she has never felt the need to censor her life from me. I know about her husband's job troubles, their late mortgage payments, car and ex-husband issues etc. (things I would confide to a close friend not to an almost stranger) I thought well maybe she is just able to express herself better maybe I am the who shouldn't feel shame about spilling my life to public. I don't really think that anymore though after today. I think today she may have crossed the line.

She was folding clothes in her house (her house was very messy too, and that to me is weird since if my house was that messy I would NEVER let anyone hang out with me while I cleaned...) and she found a shirt and said I should have it since I had bigger breasts. I was like ummm.. okay. Then she said yeah see I don't have big boobs, then she lifted her shirt to show me her breasts. (While this was terribly exciting to my boyfriend it wasn't so for me.) She then walked across the room to where I was seated with her breasts still exposed and proceeded to show me an up close view of a pimple in the cleavage of her breasts that has been bugging her. As she poked at this red mass beween her breasts, and I being totally mortified and shocked that this woman's chest is in my face, she then made it worse by saying "Yeah this pimple has been bugging me for a few days. It goes deep. FEEL IT....." ( she may have said something else after feel it but I just kind of lost track when I those words spilled from her mouth.) I looked into her eyes and was so cool saying "Umm, yeah it looks bad, it might be like a cyst or something...." Hoping she would not actually expect me to feel a damn pimple between her breasts. Then she pulled down her shirt and went back to folding her laundry as if nothing happened.

Sorry this is such a long story but it had to be told. I know someone out there has to have a worse story than this. Please make me feel better and share.

Ah, the elusive third nipple. It's good to have a confirmed sighting of such a legendary piece of American folklore.

I know someone out there has to have a worse story than this. Please make me feel better and share.
Nope. This is the worst thing that's ever happened to anyone in the history of the world.

In her own words:

said I should have it since I had bigger breasts.

I was like ummm

she lifted her shirt to show me her breasts

this was terribly exciting

her breasts still exposed and proceeded to show me an up close view

this woman's chest is in my face

It goes deep. FEEL IT.....

I just kind of lost track when I those words spilled from her mouth.

I looked into her eyes and was so cool saying "Umm, yeah

Then she pulled down her shirt and went back to folding her laundry as if nothing happened.

I need a cigarette.

One of the interesting things in life is the wide array of individuals.

We all have our own limits and boundaries about certain things. What might be considered a messy house for you, is acceptable to others. Conversly, your house might be considered too messy for visitors by other individuals. C'est la Vie!

Also, topics of discussion (divorce, job troubles, etc.) while some might consider taboo to relative strangers, others may be in such desparate need to talk about them, reach out to anyone who might listen. On those topics, I suspect that this woman is haviing trouble processing all of this information in her life and desparately wants (consciously or sub-consciously) to talk about them in an effort to deal with something that is troubling her emotionally. Though you may not be in a position to tell her, and/or you may not be comfortable telling her, she really probably should be seeing a therapist.

However, there are certain societal boundaries that could/should be common. While those boundaries may vary (what our little group would not give a second thought to would be shameful to others), I believe showing her breasts to a relative stranger as she did is quite odd. My suspicion is that she is so troubled by all of the things going on her life (and she may not have even scratched the surface of what is REALLY going on), she has lost sight of boundaries.

OR

She was coming on to you and wanted to engage you (and possibly your boyfriend) in a tryst.

I would have laughed nervously when she lifted her shirt, turned away, and said something like "Hey, now now, let's keep our clothes on!" This half-joking attitude works best for such awful situations.

I feel for ya.

I really don't mind assumed familiarity but this seems to go just a bit too far. I really sounds like she was trying to get some other reaction out of you and with a too-overt manner. I would've been uncomfortable.

Nope, I have not had an acquaintance show me her boobies. Where do I meet such a woman? :)

Honestly, she's probably hurting and can't show it. You are a friendly face. I sort of understand, because I myself sometimes have boundary issues, and trouble dealing with emotional stuff. Freaks me out; I can handle others' emotions, but not my own.

Hmmm, I seem to remember a certain scar on a certain bare breast that was shown (perhaps inadvertently) to many a Disneyland casual passer-by.

Oh yeah, wanna see my scar? I have no problem showing it or asking someone if they want to see it. However, I still have been somewhat discreet about it. (God forbit the all important nipplage is hidden at all times) But, the boobs as just a body part for medical invasion doesn't work for some. I see a line, but maybe mine is in a different place.

There are times when our friends forget themselves. You just gotta be straight up and say "HEY no one wants to see that!". It was completely inappropriate especially in front of your boyfriend. The best thing to do is say something to this person right away and tell them how you feel.

I had a coworker who recently started a new job. A few days in another co-worker returned from a vacation with some new boobs.

Within 20 minutes of meeting this woman for the first time, my friend had seen (and felt) these new boobs (as had all the women in the office). While still at work.

I find this exceedingly odd (and also wonder why stuff like this never happens in my offices) but my friend is the type for whom this isn't at all odd.

In my office we sometimes get asked to pee for science. But thus far no one has requested an audience.

Oh my lord, if a coworker asked me to feel her new fake boobs, I just might have to run to the bathroom before I throw up all over the place, or perhaps have an eplieptic fit (I'm not epileptic). If a friend asked me to, I'd politely decline, then quickly leave the room so my diarrhea of the mouth won't get me in trouble.

Now, if a friend got them due to a medical thing, then I'll be happy for her, but I still won't feel her up....ok it really depends on the situation  but I'm still freaked out by fake boobs and oh well all I can say is blech.

Wow, Alex's post really made me think about this. Weird.

Hmmm. While I think that is a bit too much from a co-worker, I felt my Mom's fake boobs after she had them done. I wasn't all that keen on doing that though either. I guess I'd be more curious as to how they feel to me, the owner of the fake boobs than to how they feel to others. I mean, that's what's important, right?

Actually, I was. She was a 4'7" ex-stripper. She had had them redone; I think she went smaller but I don't remember. It was a while ago. She had the old ones in a plastic bag. So I got to feel them solo and in place.

I prefer real ones.

My friend's sister once 'invited' me to feel her new implants (come to think of it, in line for Buzz Lightyear, of all places). Though I'm sure it wasn't quite as bad as a new office mate asking, the situation still felt rather awkward.

But of course, I took her offer.

(BTW, should I feel bad that I imagined her fake boobs made a honking noise? )

I guess the whole showing of the boob part wasn't totally the issue with me. (I guess seeing all that girls gone wild crap has pretty much taken its toll.) I think the touch my pimple part was the part I was really taken aback by.

Feeling another woman's breasts.... Haven't been asked to do that...yet. (I mean there is still several months left in the school year and there are at least 17 other mothers whose breasts I haven't seen yet......)

I tend to get caught up in my curiousity.

I would be taken aback from someone that appears to be only slightly more than an acquaintance lifting up her shirt only after a mention that my breasts were bigger than hers (unnecessary to go beyond the shirt). I would not want to touch her nipple, her pimple, or any of it.

HOWEVER....

And this would depend on the scenario, I would touch a woman's fake breast. Not out of sexual excitement, nothing other than pure curiosity. I'll come up with all kinds of questions, and probe further, lift one, then the other, ask detailed questions about the procedure, the pain, the everything. What is her self image like now? How does she perceive herself, and how does she perceive others perceiving her?

And I would never rule out another sort of experience, but that falls neither here nor there for this topic, especially since I define myself as heterosexual.

Yeah, "touch my zit" is way worse than "touch my fake boob".

That is one of the best stories ever. And thanks, Sac for making me crack up while Indi is sitting in my lap. Try explaining that one to an almost three year old. I was laughing too hard to even think of a cover story (no I didn't tell him the real story!).

Yes, that is odd, and I've seen my fair share of other women's boobs.

First, I had to read the thread to make sure that I,personally, hadn't offended anyone at school. Recently. But I like to forget when I have...

Then, YUCK! I don't know, I am not a prude but I wouldn't be lifting my shirt to show my bra let alone me boobies!! And, I was raised primarily with a lot of girls. We were all very private.

And to touch a big honkin' red zit? Oh, I think I am going to hurl right now as I can't get a picture of a big festering boil out of my mind.

I personally may say a lot of things with my friends {ooh, bad bad things} but we don't watch one another go pee or shower. Ya know? I can do these things fine, solo.

To me, she sounds like a tweaker! {sorry, had to go there}.

No offense to anyone whose friends welcome boobage. I actually felt funny mentioning boobage to someone {you know who you are} in a PM.

I understand the curiosity of feeling fake breasts, though. But it all depends on the timing, place.

Okay. Now I am afraid to go to someones house who've I've never visited before.......
