Anyone remember the "terror" group down in Florida that was arrested for plotting to blow up the Sears Tower?
There has been some new video (http://cbs2chicago.com/topstories/local_story_236144254.html)released that shows them talking with an FBI informant.
The prosecutors are upset it was released. With lines like:
"I'm gonna tell you there's two major buildings that you gotta blow up. The Empire State Building and … the uh, and the uh, Sears Tower. With those two buildings down, all radio communication is out"
"What's the plan?” asked the informant.
“To build this army"
such stirring dialogue was followed by a request for money to purchase boots, uniforms and “Hand pistol machine guns"
I can see why prosecutors are concerned. These tapes make me think that all these bozos were really trying to do was shake down the informant for some cash.
and prosecutors just hate it when truth gets in the way of a good terrorist prosecution. Although I do find some humor in a couple of small time bunko artists who suddenly find themselves looking at some very serious terrorist charges. They must be messing their pants.
