Feel free to add yours here.
Because I Don't Believe in Jesus
Because I don't believe in Jesus,
you say I'm gonna die.
Blasted into obsolescence
by Almighty God on high.
Along with both my babies
and five or six hundred million friends.
At least I'll have good company
when the whole world has to end.
As you're sifting through the carnage
(the bodies will stack to the moon),
perhaps you'll come across my visage
with a murky sense of gloom.
"Look at this poor girl" you'll say,
"Too bad her time was here.
All these sinners and these killers
were too stupid to see the end was near.
Her face almost seems familiar
in a hazy kind of way,
but God is love and God is light
and this was his judgement day.
Tomorrow she'll be out of mind,
so just toss her over there.
Now I'm in utopia,
so who really gives a care?"
Then you'll drift into eternity
living life free from pain,
but also art and love and song
and all that makes me want to live again.
But fear not, for He will wipe away those doubts
giving you pure complacency.
Which should certainly appease your guilt
that you've chosen to live today without me.
