I love kcrwmusic.com. Or more specifically, I love their streaming feed of last night's Metropolis (http://www.kcrw.com/music/programs/mt/metropolis) show. To avoid copyright issues, they can't offer their music shows in podcast format, but they do offer streaming. On my Fridays off I leave this on for hours while cleaning etc.

Anyone else have favorite internet radio stations or streaming broadcasts?

I'm pretty addicted to KCRWMusic.com as well.

KCRW/NPR do offer some of their music programs as podcasts...sort of. They tend to be partial shows, with partial songs. Occasionally they'll play the full song (or full in-studio set as they own the rights to any live stuff done in their studio). I find they offer enough to keep my ipod occupied during the week.

KQED.org (NPR) is the only radio station I have ever streamed. Other than their stupid obsession with jazz and the blues, it is blissfully music free and provides me with an excuse to wear co-worker discouraging headphones.

Slightly off topic, I just learned about http://www.dailylit.com/. They send you a little bit of the book via email every day. I just started Mark Twain's "Life on the Mississippi".

Out of habit from the East Coast, I listen to WKSU online here at the office. I love NPR and I do love some music during the day, which they offer. Our internet policy at the office is streaming is a non-no, so I will have to either bring my iPod or get a radio and pray that reception is decent (not sure what affect SFO and the Redwood City Airport may do, if anything, we're inbetween the two).

I'd love to stream KUSC, but the internet watching software here won't let me near it, or mousepod.com.

Even though I have Sirius radio (and XM at work) the one and only music station I listen to at home is KCEA -- out of Menlo Park, CA. For my money the best place to find old jazz and big band songs. However obscure, KCEA will play it.
